Let's remove the stigma of climate emotions and distress, support classroom environments, change policy, and mobilise professional orders.
Dear Climate Majority,
Anxiety, denial and even depression are natural responses to learning the truth about climate – leaving millions of young people overwhelmed and teachers unfairly burdened. We are building a coalition to push for a societal response to the large and growing problem of climate distress — starting in the classroom. Join our 2nd open call and be part of this crucial conversation on February 5, at 18:30-19:30 GMT. Hear from members of our coalition who are already working on related aspects of this complex and important issue.

Are you a climate scientist, mental health professional, educator, or youth activist? Join Bill McKibeen, Renée Leertzmann, Juliet Davenport, Wolfgang Knorr, Andri Snaer Magnason and hundreds more and sign this letter, which is the campaign’s first public action.
Students, teachers, climate scientists and mental health professionals, are core stakeholders of this campaign and need everybody’s support on this crucial issue. We must be truthful about our deep challenges while remaining stable enough to make good decisions. The classroom is the place to start a wider effort.
Our campaign objectives include:
Raising awareness of the impact of increasing climate distress
Sharing and publicising available resources for educators and students that are available to those teaching and learning about environmental challenges
Calling for a public policy response crafted by all concerned groups
Eliciting support from professional associations
Turning anxiety into agency and action, without pathologising feelings
Creating supportive media content
We also aim to mainstream the idea that, in order to survive, our society must take up the challenge of learning about the ecological predicament we face while maintaining psychological health. The classroom is a place where this challenge is felt most acutely, making it a crucial focus for our early efforts.

342*(1.0-0.3)=240.
Deduct 80 due to atmospheric absorption.
(If this were so ToA would be warmer than surface.)
Net/net of 160 arrives at surface.
Per LoT 1 160 is ALL!! that can leave.
17 sensible + 80 latent + 63 (by remaining diff) LWIR = 160
Balance is closed, done, over, fini, “Ttthhhat’s ALL folks!!”
So where does this 396 second source of surface upwelling heat flow come from?
396 is the S-B BB calculation for any surface at 16 C, 289 K, that serves as the denominator of the emissivity ratio: 63/396=0.16.
It is a theoretical calculation.
It is not real.
It is a duplicate “extra.”
It violates LoT 1.
396 up – 2nd 63 LWIR (How convenient.) = 333 “back” from cold to hot w/o work violating LoT 2.
Not that it matters.
Erase the 396/333/63 GHE “extra” energy loop from the graphic and the balance holds true.
IR instruments do not measure power flux, they are calibrated to report a referenced temperature and infer power flux assuming the target is a BB. (Read the manual.)
16 C + BB = 396 & incorrect.
16 C + 0.16 = 63 & correct.
There is no GHE.
There is no GHG warming.
There is no CAGW,
The consensus is wrong – Aahhgain!!!
